The new headquarters of the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) consists of the design and construction of infrastructure, a 75,000 SF office building and a 25,000 SF vehicle maintenance and storage area including a fueling station, car wash, 500 car parking area and green space.
The CMHA employed an innovative form of integrated project delivery in procuring design-build services on its headquarters project. CMHA used its affiliated development entity, Western Reserve Development Corporation, to contract for design-build/design-assist services from Ozanne. The project team divided the work in two phases, infrastructure and building, in order to meet funding deadlines.
The project is LEED Registered with a goal of achieving a LEED Silver Rating. The plan is to achieve this rating through the redevelopment of the 15 acre brownfield site, energy efficiency, open lighting, and ponds and retention basins in the grassy areas.
